Fitbit - Amazing Customer Service!

I became obsessed with the Fitbit about a year ago. I'm pretty sure it has everything to do with my love of order and statistics and well, the super cute pink band didn't hurt. I felt like a real rockstar when I upgraded to the Fitbit Charge. I was killin' it in my weekly challenges. Ok, well, maybe not killin' it by everyone's standard, but it was dang good for me! My girlfriends and I got SUPER competitive! It was honestly the most fun I've ever had workin' on my fitness.
So, the other day, I was pretty devastated when the back of the band broke (there's a little plastic piece that covers the charge area and it cracked). I figured it was bye-bye Fitbit. My hubby told me to see if there's a warranty. I Googled. Sure enough, a one-year.
I called Fitbit fully expecting them to inform me that my issue was somehow not covered by the warranty, blah blah blah. I've never had good luck with things like this.
However, to my pleasant surprise. To my SHOCK, actually. The incredibly kind woman on the other end of the phone not only told me that they were going to send me a brand new Fitbit, no need to send in my old one... they are also UPGRADING me to the Charge HR. I got an email confirmation minutes later. This morning, an email that said it's already shipped.
I can't believe it. It's kind of sad, really, that I am this excited about excellent customer service, but in a world where it doesn't exist too much anymore, this was unexpected and so much appreciated.
So, if you're debating getting a Fitbit, let me assure you - it's a super cool gadget, functional, WILL get you up and moving and with great customer service like that? Done deal.
