Racism. Shootings. Political fights. Hatred. Cheating. Stealing. Lying. Bullying. We're sick of it. ALL of it.

We know these things have always existed. But, lately, we think we can all agree that it's gotten completely out of hand. As human beings, it saddens us. As moms, it scares the hell out of us.

We look into our children's innocent eyes and fear the day that they learn about all of the things that can go horribly wrong in the world. Little kids have it right in so many ways. Pure thoughts. Welcoming to everyone. Oblivious to color. Any differences they do see are easily explained and accepted. That's what we know to be true from our children, anyway.

We believe it all starts at home. The things we teach. The words we use. They live what they learn and they learn what they see.

We wish for peace. We hope for unity. We are also realistic.

What we do know is that we can only control what we can control and do what we can do. And, we do believe that small steps. Little things. They add up.

That's why we are excited to announce The sheKC Kindness Project #sheKCkindnessproject.

Wear one of our #sheKCkindnessproject shirts available in the sheSHOP.

YOU CAN SIT WITH US.

THROW KINDNESS AROUND LIKE CONFETTI.

KIND IS THE NEW COOL.

HAVE COURAGE AND BE KIND.

VOTE KINDNESS.

Wear kindness. Spread the word. Let others see what is good. Negativity and cruelty caught on. Why can't it go the other way around?

In the coming days, we at sheKC will be distributing bumper stickers to area high schools with messages of positivity. It starts at home. It starts at school. There is hope with the next generation.

Not for a 'pat on the back', but to let your light shine as an example to others of what is possible, share with us at sheKC your random acts of kindness. We want to know about them. We want to highlight them at www.sheKClifestyle.com.

Let's start seeing some GOOD news. Let's join together for The sheKC Kindness Project #sheKCkindnessproject
