Statistics have shown that overexposure to the sun's rays is the number one cause of skin cancer today. One in five Americans will develop skin cancer at some point in their life. UV rays also result in premature aging. But, don't let the sun hold you back this summer. Fair & Fashionable has three little letters to help you prevent sun damage: SPF.
SUNSCREEN: Apply it. Use a minimum of SPF 30 and products that protect from UVA and UVB rays. Wear it daily. Reapply it hourly.
PRIME HOURS: Avoid them. The sun's rays are strongest from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Fashion: Wear it. Stylish sun protective clothing with wide glamorous hats and big sunglasses.
