Summit Art Festival 2016
Summit Art Festival is a free, outdoor, three-day festival of fine arts that will feature over 90 local, regional and national artists. Visitors will enjoy a unique blend of art and music in historic Downtown Lee’s Summit.
Formerly known as the Longview Art & World Music Festival they have relocated and re-branded the event, while still offering the same fantastic level of talent.

SUMMIT ART MUSIC!
The 2016 Summit Art Festival features 20 different musicians in three locations over the span of the festival. The tremendous amount of talent and diversity in the greater Kansas City music scene will be well showcased by singer/songwriters and instrumentalists of all backgrounds performing a wide range of music encompassing folk, jazz, world music and pop/rock.
These performances are one of the many components of the Summit Art Festival that keep people coming back year after year. Summit Art extends a warm “Thank You” to all of their musicians, and to Kat Nemati of TTD Promotion who has generously donated her time and energy to make the live music portion of the festival a success. Music is supported through a grant from the Missouri Arts Council
Summit Art is sponsoring a Children’s Art Area, which will include an array of interactive art activities for festival goers. Included in the KidZone will be henna art, spin art, button making and other activities for kids and the entire family to enjoy.
Heart of America Shakespeare Festival will be hosting an arts and craft project where festival-goers can choose from embellishing Paper crowns or a Coat-of-Arms. Kids will be guiding through the creation of origami folding.
Shining Light music, of Downtown Lee’s Summit, will be hosting an instrument petting zoo: hands-on fun with instruments. Children (and their parents) have the chance to get up close and personal with the instruments.
