The Greatest Game EVER for Parents
Written by: Jen Johnson
If you have kids and love Cards Against Humanity, the greatest thing ever is now available on Amazon—KinderPerfect. It’s a party card game that laughs at the challenges of parenthood. Be prepared—everything from post-pregnancy boobies to placenta smoothies are options in this sweet reminder that this whole parenting thing ain’t easy.
The creators, the Vota family, said the inspiration for KinderPerfect came from their kids. “They started losing teeth, and we learned that $.25 per tooth was well below the going market rate for the Tooth Fairy, which inspired the question card, “Signs you are THAT family,” and its corresponding potential answer card, “A cheap-ass Tooth Fairy.”
“Another one of our friend’s daughter was always sucking on the ear of a stuffed animal for over a year, only taking it out of her month to eat. She wouldn’t allow her mom to wash it either. That inspired the card, “Please don’t put ____ in your mouth!” And the potential answer card, “Another damn stuffed animal.”
Much like Cards Against Humanity, with KinderPerfect, the “Parent” player will read out a red Question Card and other players will submit their white Answer Cards. The Parent picks the winner they like the best, well, because they said so. The winner then becomes the Parent for the next round. You win by amassing useless Answer Cards!
It's available on Amazon for $23.95, or in select bookstores and games stores in the US and Canada. Not only is this a great Christmas gift ideas for parents, but I say pull this game out at a baby shower or family reunion to make them seriously entertaining.
If you have some funny moments from your own family (who doesn’t?), you can even submit ideas! They’re actively seeking card suggestions to make KinderPerfect a better game and create expansion packs that feature baby shower, elementary school, and tween-themed cards. If your card idea is chosen for the final game, they’ll give you credit and send you a free KinderPerfect card deck! You can submit on their website.
Don’t steal my idea…but I feel like The Very Hungry Caterpillar may be part of one of my submissions…
