Travel: Tips for Every Woman
Written by: Allison Swan
You never known when travel misfortune will strike. If you find yourself stuck in an airport for an extended period of time, here are some tips to make your stay more enjoyable.
Always keep the basic essentials on hand, like a toothbrush, face wash, hand sanitizer, and sleeping mask. Also, pack anything that helps to calm your nerves when stress levels start to rise, like essential oils.
It's important to always travel with a cozy sweatshirt, even in warm weather. Airport temperatures are almost always extreme, so even if it isn't freezing you can use it as a pillow when you need to catch some shut eye.
Healthy, filling snacks that won't melt and an empty water bottle will help save some cash and time when food lines are exceptionally long.
Invest in a portable phone charger if you don't already have one. This way you are free to roam around and won't be stuck hanging around an outlet.
A little kindness goes a long way with customer service reps, especially when they are dealing with very angry crowds. Do your research and be on the lookout for flight alternatives. If you find a flight that works, go to the gate agent for that flight. Even if it's sold out, missed connections can open up seats at the last minute.
Don't stress over things outside of your control. Be proactive and look for solutions, but if there's nothing you can do, just breathe, meditate, stretch, read, and let it go.
