Do you know what we all need? A weekend completely dedicated to ourselves. This means a break from get-togethers and brunches with time spent taking care of our needs. It's hard to say no to invitations, but it's crucial for recharging and necessary every now and then to be able to hit the ground running on Monday. You deserve the ultimate self-care weekend, so be selfish for once and reclaim this Saturday and Sunday as yours with these ideas.
It's time to unplug by turning your phone completely off. Take a break from texts and social media, allowing yourself to detach from the world for a bit, or even the entire weekend.
Now is the time to do something you've been wanting to do for a while, like catching up on all of your favorite shows or finally reading a book that you haven't had the time to read. Is there a new dessert spot you've been meaning to visit? Indulge in whatever you want.
Have a spa day at home and bring out every product you've been neglecting in your rushed mornings, like facial masks and body scrubs. Light some candles, fill the tub with bubbles, and soak in a hot bath to melt your worries away and give your skin the love it deserves.
Get creative! Paint, write, dance, or do whatever expressive activity it is you enjoy to stimulate your mind and de-stress.
Take the money you would have spent on drinks and invest it in a fun new fitness class. Try something you've never done before, like yoga or kickboxing.
Wine and dine with an evening of good food and music. Blast your music throughout your home as you make a nice dinner for yourself and try a new recipe.
Sleep! Catch up on any lost hours by going to bed early, sleeping in, or both. No need to set an alarm, so keep your phone off for undisturbed sleep.
