2017: Fall Fashion Trends

Labor Day is over which means Fall is quickly approaching and you'll be trading out those breezy tops for cozy knits. For Fall think:

Casual 1970's

Metallics

Wide-Legged Jeans

Mid-Length Skirts

Moto Jackets

Slouchy Sweaters

Cut-Outs and One-Shoulder -- still going strong!

Don't toss out your tried and true classic staples -- like that amazing crisp white button down. Pair it with some fun leather leggings. A black and white striped soft tee -- stack it alongside a boyfriend jean, a moto jacket, and some retro suede sneakers and you're set!

I'll bet you have an oversized jacket or blazer collecting dust. Bring that guy out this season!

Looking for a comfy alternative to your trusty denim? Opt for a plush corduroy pant. High-waisted flare would be a great look if you're wanting to mix things up a bit!

Here are my 7 most wearable trends:

Camo -- it's still around. In fact, I'd say it's back stronger than ever! A basic tee, jeggings, jeans. I've even seen cute accessories with a hint of leather camo.

Statement Booties -- bold colors and fabrics which can be treated like a neutral or make it the opposite and let your shoes be your stand-out piece!

70's Vibe -- think shearling, suede, ribbed knit tops and corduroy.

Sport Chic -- mix up sporty pieces for a cool, casual look that can take you from day to night.

Head-to-Toe Leather -- to some, this may be a daring look to pull off. But, I think if you rock this look tastefully, you've got it! I'd suggest leather skinnies with a pretty silk top, a fun (maybe go for a pop of color here) moto jacket and finish your look with a cool bootie. Maybe a fun heel or a mule slide.

Something Red -- if you don't have a red piece in your closet that you love right now, this is your season to make it happen. So many options and ways to incorporate pops of red. A classic handbag, a cool sneaker, a big cozy sweater, a jacket or coat.

Slogan Tees -- these tees are everywhere right now and the great thing is? They're super easy to wear, yet fun and affordable. Grab a skinny jean or camo pants, a big comfy cardigan, a flat or a bootie -- voila! Done.

Each of us has our own style. And we rock it! Right? But, the cool thing about fashion and trends -- it's fun to see what's new each season and how we can incorporate things we already own! Heck, I have a closet full of things I've held on to for years that are making a comeback! It's fun making new purchases and tying all of the new, fresh looks together.

Making changes for new seasons doesn't mean you must go crazy and break the bank! There are so many deals and steals to be had! I often pin my favorites and hope they go on sale or find great brands that make quality clothes at an affordable price. There are usually a couple of staple items that I end up splurging on, but that's because I tell myself I can't live without it or it's something that will possibly sell out in my size.

Let's embrace and love that Fall is upon us. I don't know about you, but I'm READY for the new season!

Tera is a Kansas City based on-trend jewelry designer for all who love accessories, including kids! She has had a passion for anything related to fashion since 6th grade to be exact... logging her daily school outfits, because no chance was she wearing the same outfit twice in one month! Fast forward to after college, Tera moved to New York. After a few years of working for the Soho Grand Hotel, she focused on what initially motivated her to move to the Big Apple and started doing Public Relations for an accessories company. Since 2005 she's worked in the fashion industry on and off.

If you're wondering where the name, Bitty Baubles came from, Tera started designing for her daughter, Harper, in Spring of 2015 because quite frankly it was frustrating spending money on trinkets that would break within days. So, she got to work and whipped up a box full of tassel necklaces... Bitty Baubles was born!
