Need a Fundraiser for Your Group? Earn Money at the Kansas City Renaissance Festival!

I can’t believe we’re already this deep into summer and starting to look toward school and fall! Once those cooler temps hit, I’m thinking fall traditions, and one of those for us is the Kansas City Renaissance Festival.
If you’re part of a nonprofit organization that’s looking to raise money, KC Ren Fest is trying to get new groups to come out and work their booths and earn money for their group or cause. They have booths that can be run every day for the season. They have a limited number available for 1 or 2 weekends. Some booths take up to two people, and some take up to 20 to work at a time; most require around 6 people. Most booths take 2 people to open each day at 9:00 a.m. (to set up) and two people to clean up and shut down around 7:30 p.m.
They are open for 7 weekends: September 1st to Oct 15th (weekends), Labor Day and Columbus Day as well. Your group will take home 11% of the profit that is made from the booth or booths, if you are here for the whole season. If you take a booth for a weekend, it is a flat rate of $750.00. If you take Columbus Day weekend, which is a 3-day, it pays $1,000.00. They will train you on what needs to be done, provide all the food and items needed. They have loaner costumes as well. Workers 14 to 15 years of age may only work 8 hours a day. By law, they will not be able to cook. Workers 16+ may work the whole day and cook. They do require one adult (21+) supervisor at all times.
