Origami Bookmark Corners

National book lovers day is on August 9th! Celebrate by creating one of these fun origami bookmarks to hold your place in your latest summer read. This how-to by Red Ted Art is by far the best and easiest—they not only show you how to make an origami bookmark corner, but they show you how to take that basic corner and turn it into one of their many designs! Follow these steps to make your own:

Step 1: Take your A5 sheet of paper and fold over one corner to create a triangle.

Step 2: Cut off the excess and rotate your triangle so the long edge is at the bottom and the right angle faces up.

Step 3: Fold the lower right corner up to meet the top right-angled corner.

Step 4: Repeat for the left side.

Step 5: Fold these two back open.

Step 6: Flip down one of the top sheets and crease.

Step 7: Now fold the flaps you created back up and tuck into your bookmark.

Step 8: Repeat for the other side.
